After weeks of blazing hot weather, we are being blessed with a cool wave, which is supposed to last throughout the weekend. Instead of the normal 90 something at this time of night, it's a pleasant 72ยบ.This weekend we have a 'puente' or a long weekend as Friday is a holiday. Haven't got any special plans. Maybe I'll meet up with one of the few friends who hasn't abandoned the city, and nice weather would be a bonus. The picture accompanying this shortie is from a friend on Stumble Upon. It's from his Photobucket album so hope it doesn't start shouting "Upgrade to Pro!" There aren't any fried eggs in the photo, but it's just as good, don't you think?
Hope everybody has a pleasant evening.

ReplyDeleteSeveral folks have mentioned it was cooler. No Fair, I want cooler too! LOL I'll bet if an ice cream truck ventured down my street, it would look like that graphic.
ReplyDeleteThat street art is really incredible. I've seen some unbelievable works. I've seen the temps there in Madrid and although our 6 weeks of hellish heat has dissipated some, I now have one electricity bill of $250 to deal with as a reminder. I'm sure the next bill will be comparable as well. It has been one of the most oppressive months of July that I can recall, although I didn't check any records.
ReplyDeleteHope it changes soon for you. A nice summer day would be a delight for a change.
I know the summer here has been hotter even if it started out cool. My blogs I wrote last summer in August show nice temperatures for most of the month - perhaps hot during the day but nice and cool at night (like this evening). There's a saying in Spanish loosely translated reads: In August in the morning, you'll feel the cold on your face.
