Although I got the following conspiracy theories from Sky News, I'm sure everybody has thought about some of these or ALL of these and perhaps even believes some of them or ALL of them. I'm not sure I'd consider all of them conspiracies, but this is borrowed material - only what is in parenthesis is mine. Hope you find the theories interesting and also the photo I've chosen to accompany them. This photo has a story which needs explaining. Back before we had digital cameras, I took my camera into a shop to have the film that I thought was inside developed. When we opened the camera, it was EMPTY. 'Where's the film?' I demanded of the shop assistant. He politely answered that he didn't know. I can only imagine what he thought. Well, I found out not too long afterwards what had happened to it. I'd given a friend what I thought was a new roll of film, because, as I said, I wasn't going to use it and she was going to Washington D.C. and Canada. I have lots of perfectly double exposed photos of my family in two places like this one of three of my nephews.
One more thing: I was visitor 157,751,069 on Post Secret on Sunday, which is really my reason for posting. Now that my secret is out, on to those wild and wonderful theories.
Some 48% of Britons believe that Area 51 exists to investigate aliens and their spaceships. Are you a believer? (My almost 16 year-old nephew has come up with the theory that Steve Fossett's plane was shot down over Area 51 or, at least, the idea was planted in his head by someone.
It's a possibility, isn't it? I mean that his plane was shot down over Area 51)
A massive 38% think that 9/11 was orchestrated by the US government.
And 35% believe that the Apollo landing on the Moon was a hoax. (My brother Timmy thinks it was a hoax too)
A suspicious 32% are convinced that Diana, Princess of Wales, and Dodi Fayed were murdered.
And a perhaps paranoid 25% think the Illuminati and the Masons are trying to take over the world . (N.B. the use of the word perhaps)
And would you believe Scientologists rule Hollywood? Well, 17% of those who took part in the survey would.
Big Brother is watching - and 7% believe that barcodes are really intended to control people. (I've heard other theories. For example, to be used to identify Satan's followers)
And 6% are convinced that Microsoft sends messages via Wingdings.(Careful with those smileys! Who knows what message you're really sending! You might be saying something like Yahoo has been taken over by Microsoft. Yea! or Oh, no! depending on who the recipient is)
Another dark theory: some 5% believe the US government allowed Pearl Harbour to happen.
And 3% think the world is run by dinosaur-like reptiles! (Reminds me of one of my favourites: 'V'. Do you remember Diana?)
The poll also revealed that 61% believe in aliens. (Who's to say for certain that intelligent life isn't out there somewhere? When it's been proven beyond any doubt that we're alone in this vast universe then I'll believe it. So until then…)
And 52% think ghosts exist. (Would you relieve me if I said I know people who say they have seen them and aliens too?)
LOL. Have just noticed that Chris (the one on the right) is wearing an ET shirt!
ReplyDeleteVery Interesting indeed!!! Thanks fer sharing this. I luved ET!!!! Lmao!!! There could be intelligent life out there. Lmao!!! They found water on Mars right. Hmmm...wonder iffen that water sustains anything. As far as ghost...I call them spirits and I believe I have seen some of my family that has moved on. That could be wishful thinking but I remember the great feeling of comfort in these encounters. Hope you are having a wonderful day my friend. ~HUGGIES~ :)
ReplyDeleteCummon! Haven´t you watched INDEPENCE DAY??!?!?! We know Area 51 exists ... LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd I sometimes wonder whether the world might be run by dinosaur-like reptiles ... would certainly explain A LOT .... LOL
I know Area 51 exists and the way lots of world leaders act they could actually be dinosaur-like repiles underneath their skin!
ReplyDeleteLMAOOOOOOOOOOO Brenda!!!! :)
ReplyDeletei think you'd get about the same results if you polled my friends in memphis
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is bright, articulate, has a good job, an altogether switched on, no nonsense young woman who completely refuses to believe that any one landed on the moon!!! ..... and she looks upon anyone who is gullible (in her view) enough to doubt her, with scorn in her eyes!!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't everyone know that Area 51 is the hardest place to beat in the Nintendo game "Crash Bandicoot"? LOL.
ReplyDeleteI must admit though, I am one who does believes a few of these.
Now as far as reptiles running the world, hmm, maybe smaller than dinosaurs but in my opinion, some reptiles could fit the bill!
Great list, Brenda. It's amazing how differing people's opinions differ. Just remember how few of us are still around from those that were involved in Pearl Harbor, and it'll only get that way about the moon landing and such. Ghosts, well I do know several ghost tour guides from Gettysburg and they do make up lots and lots of their script from nothing, however there ARE some strange noises and presences at time. As far as reptiles running the world, perhaps we should buy them a heated rock and get them more mellowed out, shall we? lol
