Rivers of E-ink

I'm doubly sad as logically I'm still missing my dog. Now Multiply has decided to close its doors to those of us who aren't involved in Marketplace. At least we're being given notice, and I must say I've enjoyed almost 5 years on here. I suppose I'll be obliged to clean out my contact list at long last since there are quite a few who haven't posted anything for a long, long time. Some of these people are on Facebook. Thankfully some of my contacts on MP are also on my friends' list on FB. Hopefully a good number of us can decide on an alternate site, because I know just about everyone is saying they don't want to lose contact. I know I don't.

Most likely this will be one of my last posts - for a while anyway. I'll be going on holiday soon. I'm going to include a postcard from Post Secret. It reminded me how incredible the postal service is and not just the 'neither rain, sleet nor snow…' One of my friends once sent me a letter with only my name and the street name. She didn't put either the number of the house nor the post code. Okay my street isn't very long, and, as the post mistress said, it was a good thing she knew me.

I'm going to enjoy the rest of the evening. Beginning tomorrow we're going to be going into another severe heat wave. I'll be having lots of gazpacho to cool down that's for sure. Oh, I almost forgot. We finally had our summer storm last week. It wasn't too bad in Madrid capital, but some areas had lots of damage both wind and water.

On a positive note: I recently said how much I hated wires and cords and would be happy to have everything wireless. Earlier this afternoon I was going to download a book onto my Kindle and grabbed my camera to do so. I know the ipad can do all this, but I think it needs perfecting. I only wanted an ipad for a short time. When I realised my laptop was better, I stopped wanting one.
