As I'm typing this, I'm thinking that tomorrow at this time (almost 1 pm) I should be getting ready to have lunch. But guess what? I'm not hungry because my stomach is telling me it's a different time. Zara's body clock tells her it's a different time too. She didn't get up at 9 am today like she usually does on Sundays. The only consolation I have to the time change is that next week I have off for Easter holidays, so I'll try not to be too crabby this week.
The older I get, the more like a mouse I become. Did you know most mice never travel more than six metres from home? On Thursday evening I was waiting on the platform of the underground to go to the centre to celebrate a friend's birthday in our favourite Mexican when a huge group of American high school kids arrived. I moved on down the platform so that when our train arrived I wouldn't be stuck in the same compartment with lots of screaming teens. Just my luck, a couple of stations later another huge group gets on - this time they were Italian students! I was happy that I was standing and not sitting because being surrounded by so many people makes me claustrophobic. Anyway, the meal was worth it. I don't often eat at the Mexican, but every time I do one of the waiters comes to greet me. He was working there when we used to go to the restaurant over 30 years ago.
Our weather has changed again. We've gone back to spring. Next week the weather will probably change again. We usually have rain at Easter but it has scarcely rained in Madrid since last spring so rain isn't likely on the cards.
This will be a short (er) piece today since we've been robbed of an hour. I do hope everyone has a good week though.

You are not alone in that. I have come to dislike driving and now don't care much for shopping trips to crowded malls. I choose times when the stores are usually not crowded and I tend to go to more shops closer to home.
ReplyDeleteI like the Maxine cartoon. I like to make as much bathroom noise as I can when people are on their cell phones in the restroom. Such an inconsiderate and disrespectful practice, to call someone on the telephone from a bathroom stall.
We had hard rain this morning, but the sun is shining now. I agree with you about crowds. I don't like being crammed into small places with people pressing all around. Eeeeeeekkkk!!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same as you when it comes to crowds on a train. I don't mine them at concerts but it's not the same lol. Love the Maxine cartoon.
ReplyDeleteI need to check our weather for next week as it always rains on a bank holiday!! lol I dont like crowds either and tend to go places, even the supermarket, at quiet periods.
ReplyDeleteGood Sunday morning brenda and to all friends here
ReplyDeleteI was reading the part about the time change
and I was just telling my husband this morning
when I actually slept in late and that is unusual for me
that after a week of the change it is hitting my brain
and sleep habits now but the first few days it made no changes
to my brain clock lol,, but the old saying my father use to always say to me
out of six kids your very different from all .lol
PS different again ,I love crowds:
I love watching and listening to people
We had rain a few days ago and now it looks like were in for more:
that's fine with me as I love it:
have e great sunday rest, relax and smile
is it not great to be alive ??YES SIR_EEEEEEEEE ☺
I didn't notice anyhow that we went to daylight saving time. Mind you, I've been off from work for three weeks now, so is it any wonder that I missed reacting to it!
ReplyDeleteLOL, so you haven't had to make any adjustments.
